Hello all,
I haven't had too much luck but here is the question. I have a 1990 300ZXTT with 156k on the car. I do not know what the previous owner had done exactly except for putting all syn. fluids in the car and from what I can see a K&N filter and put python injectors in the car (yes, I have been told that they are crappy)
Well I just dyno’d my car and the numbers came up to 254whp and 271 torque. What I'm looking to do is put about 400-420 to the wheels and that is it. What type of mods can you guys think of that can help me achieve this without the use of NOS. Also note that I do want to keep this car for a very long time without it constantly being in the shop to repair. I don't have a huge budget to do this nor do I have the time to do it myself as I will be a father to my second boy very soon. (I'm hoping to pass this car on to my son in the picture below)
Can someone please list out some bolt on mods that could help me achieve this?
Maybe a place where I can get some decent prices? Like I said, I would be content at the below hp level. Any and all help is welcome and appreciated.

Dane is selling the GMS550 turbos of his red car. You could get those, intercoolers, down pipes, larger injectors.

1st things 1st, attend the dyno day and re-dyno, where did you dyno before?

With dyno readout in hand i can tell you alot more about whats up with your car.

Well I just dyno’d my car and the numbers came up to 254whp and 271 torque.

thats about par for a high milage stock TT

What I'm looking to do is put about 400-420 to the wheels and that is it.

420 can be reached much easier on stock turbos with race full but not 93oct, it will take a lot more mods, to reach 420 on pump gas with ease i suggest sp530 (gt2554R turbos) or larger

What type of mods can you guys think of that can help me achieve this without the use of NOS.

for example devin reached 375 on stock turbos and pump gas with:
JWT intake
Nistune ECU 15 psi boost jets
full SZ turbo back exhaust and that is all. it could be tuned out with nistune to higher than 390whp

Intercooler upgrade and under drive pulley would get him to 400WHP which is around your goal. so with those simple bolt-ons you can reach 400(if the bottom end is healthy enough to push it out)

Also note that I do want to keep this car for a very long time without it constantly being in the shop to repair. I don't have a huge budget to do this nor do I have the time to do it myself as I will be a father to my second boy very soon. (I'm hoping to pass this car on to my son in the picture below)

Spooly, I think something is up with his car. This is what he posted in another thrread.

the exhaust is after market but cheezy( pic attached of the back)
intake is a K&N cone only
The stock guage buries the needle all the way to 14. I'm looking for a guage to put on my pillar that reads to at least 20

cant trust the stock gauge on all z32. need to put in a boost gauge and go from there. but that hp is par for his milage and stock boost. if it is acctually on 15 psi, its got problems, prolly typical boost leaks, dieing turbo, low compresson. incorrectly rounted vac boost lines from noobs.

Yeah, I ment that IF it is boosting 14-15psi then something is up for sure.
